frustrating!

Hello,
I have just spent the past hour or so at the long thin house trying to add a Pinterest button, Find me on folksy button, and an Instagram button to the sidebar of my blog, I have been having lots of fun photographing and commenting on things, and although I think you can look at them via my Twitter updates I just thought it would be spiffy to have the little buttons at the side! but, alas my blind spot for all things computory has kicked in! I have been reading about 'plugins' and I'm beginning to think my you can't use them on the free wordpress themes, I have tried all ways, widget menus, links etc but no it is not to be, I think Husband will need to be called upon! if any of you would care to share my musings with pics my instagram and pinterest are under the name madebymim too, if any of you use pinterest let me know, I love to look at other peoples pictures,
.
Speak soon.

Try again !

Well that's better! Today has been more successful with the folksy listings, I have been over everything twice so apart from my dodgy photos all should be well, I'm very pleased with myself for being so determined, not usually one of my strengths ( those usually involve cake or chocolate or both! ) so not a bad start, still have a few things left to add,and also have a few new ideas up my sleeve, but plenty of time for that. Although, today has not been without a small crisis! Our Weimaraner Floyd has developed a large swelling on his back leg and it is making him limp. Husband has had a good look and it doesn't seem to be causing him any pain as such, only the limp! Anyone who knows Weimaraners' knows that they are prone to being a bit lumpy, Floyd has some spectacular lumps that are completely harmless just a bit unsightly which is a shame because he is such a good looking dog! He is 8 years old know so not a young dog,and we will have to keep an eye on him if it's not better by Tuesday it's off to the vets to see what he has to say, apart from this is going to cost lots of money!! Fingers crossed.

Where has today gone!

What has happened to my day! I started off with good intentions, I collected together various items I have made, to photograph for my folksy shop, took the photos on my iPad and started to list my first Rabbit, all was well until uploading a photo, have I mentioned all this was taking place on my iPad and seemed pretty straight forward, until the photo, apparently you cannot upload photos taken with the iPad directly to the site...minor irritation ! But undeterred I thought Dropbox would come to my rescue and so moved to the iMac to finish off, well it's nearly finished me off!! It would take too long to explain the long winded process of getting photos from my iPad to my iMac without plugging anything in and really I don't fully understand what Husband did, but if any of you visit my Folksy shop www.folksy.com/shops/madebymim please don't ask why the photos are the wrong way round!! It is as they say a work in progress....I'm thinking the end of April was a rash deadline for my shop to be up and running! This is how Rabbit should look!

To do !

Right! Have been reading lots of your blogs and seeing all the really cool things you are all making! This is making me feel very lazy, and unworthy! So having woke up to brilliant sunshine ( although I was expecting it to be gloomy) I have decided to set myself a goal. Last year I set up a Folksy shop to sell a few things I make, mainly cushions, tea / coffee cosies, glasses cases, knitted corsages and Christmas Angels, amongst other things, and I did sell a few, which made me feel really good! Then, what with one thing and another I let it slide, I did have a stall at a local school bazaar where I did better than I expected, and the feed back was very positive, but I still didn't stock up my Folksy shop.So now spurred on by all you fabulously talented people I have set myself a goal . By the end of April I will have a fully up and running Folksy shop, filled with a range of things I love to make, keep an eye on this space and I will let you know when I have started listing my things, and I would be very grateful for any feedback. There I've said it out loud now! So there is no going back!
